Past Champs from Tashua Farm
Just A Few of our Proud Equine Champions
Over the years, Tashua Farm has played a variety of important roles in producing numerous champions in many aspects of the equine world. Although our clients have come to appreciate our understated expertise, we thought we'd share just a few of our special champions.
Finnegan
The United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) formerly known as the American Horse Show Association (AHSA) Green Pony Finals have grown to become one of the preeminent equine events of the year. In 1987, the very first year of this event, Tashua Farm was proud to celebrate a championship victory by Finnegan (owned by Nyala Farm).

Sebastian
Sebastian was originally sold from Tashua Farm to Whipstick Farm (South Salem, NY) and later sold to well-known rider Jessica Springsteen. Among Sebastian's many accolades are the 1993 AHSA Large Pony Hunter 4th place and Pony Hunter Champion for numerous zone finals.

Tucker Nuck
Tucker Nuck was the 1996 winner of the AHSA National Large Green Pony Hunter Champion Trophy. In the photo below, the 1996 Fairfield County Hunt Club Grand Pony Hunter Champion appears with owner Miss Bedford of Nyala Farm (Westport CT). We're proud Tashua Farm was home to this outstanding champion.

Midget's Lad
Tashua Farm is also proud that we were home to Midget's Lad. This offspring out of Midget has left a legacy of numerous championships and was well loved by competitors and judges alike.

Real McKoy
Marisa Ferrigno Celozzi has ridden with Tashua Farm for more than a decade. Here she is aboard Real McKoy at the 1998 Fairfield County Hunt Club.

And Many More . . .
In the coming months, we'll add additional photos of more of our champions. There's Nyala Farms' Mudbug who dominated the sport throughout the 1990s (including 27 titles in 1992 alone); Galen Verizer, ridden by our own Suzanne Fisher to win the 1983 Connecticut Hunter & Jumper Association (CHJA) Pony Equitation Finals; Major League who was the 2000 AHSA Medium Green Pony Final Reserve Champ; and many more!
